Croydon
Aurora Police Consultative Group
AURORA is a LGBT people who meeting regularly Croydon Police to discuss issues of concern relating to safety, crime and policing policy and practice.
AURORA was set up when there was felt to be a ‘gap’ in communication between the local police and the LGBT communities.
AURORA has now established itself, with a set of accepted procedures and guidelines to help the meetings flow, and meets regularly - centrally in Croydon, in accessible venues - providing an opportunity for anyone from the LGBT communities in Croydon to either come along and have their say - or to be able to register their issue through the aurora website:
www.aurora-croydon.org.uk
AURORA facilitates real communication between local LGBT people and the police – making sure we are working together to resolve issues raised. But for this to be really effective we need your involvement.
