The Metropolitan Police Service is committed to giving all victims of crime a professional and sensitive service.
The Community Safety Unit (CSU) is responsible for the investigation of hate crimes within Kingston Borough. This includes racist crime,domestic violence,homophobic crime and hate mail. The unit is staffed by male and female officers who are specially trained to deal with these crimes. The unit is committed to working in partnership with both statutory and voluntary organisations in the borough to improve the quality of life for the residents.

Kingston Borough has two Police liaison officers that monitor and Investigate Homophobic Crime and can be a point of contact should members of the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Transgender) community wish to speak to a Police officer in confidence.
The officers are PC Tony FORSYTH and PC Alison GRUBB.
PC GRUBB and PC FORSYTH work in the Community Safety unit based at Kingston Police Station. PC GRUBB investigates all types of hate crime, which includes racial incidents, Domestic violence, and homophobic incidents. PC GRUBB has extensive experience with victims of serious sexual assault.
An Quarterly forum is help for the LGBT community at the Reflex night-club, 184 London Road, Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey and all are welcome to attend.
The Reflex night-club is now a Third Party reporting site. Anyone wishing to report a homophobic incident and do not want to contact Police please speak to the Manager of the Night-club Chris Dayman-Smith who will take the report in the strictest of confidence and pass the information to the Police. We WILL NOT contact you if that is your wish but should you wish to speak to an officer either Tony or Alison will contact you to discuss the matter further.
