Reporting a hate crime If you have been a victim of a homophobic or transphobic crime, it is important that you report it. There are several ways you can report the crime.

REPORT IT PACK
You can report using a self-reporting pack and send it to the police. The REPORT IT pack is a new way that victims and witnesses can report hate crime to the Metropolitan Police. Victims and witnesses can use a self-reporting form in the pack and send them directly to the Diversity Directorate by freepost. The freepost address is: The Metropolitan Police Diversity Directorate, Room 910 New Scotland Yard, FREEPOST LON22022, London SW1H 0DY. The pack (cover) contains a self-reporting form and informational leaflets: introduction to self reporting, being streetwise and domestic abuse.
COMMUNITY SAFETY UNIT
Call your local Community Safety Unit which has special responsibilities in hate crime. You can ask to speak to an LGBT liaison officer.
